Children and youth are cherished at St. Luke’s and are an integral part of our church family.
As a congregation, we are committed to nurturing children and youth in the Christian faith through participation in worship, Sunday School, confirmation classes, and many social activities. St. Luke’s is proud to be a multi-generational congregation with many opportunities for mutual enrichment between young and old. Our children’s ministry is led by Marin Miller, assisted by a nursery care provider and a Sunday School assistant. Members of the congregation volunteer each week to lead our middle school class.
Children in Worship — All children are invited to participate in the beginning of the worship service each Sunday, including ‘A Time with our Children’ in which Christian Ed Coordinator Marin Miller shares a story or object lesson.
Sunday School — Sunday School for children and youth meets on Sundays during worship, under the direction of the Christian Ed Director.
Nursery — Our nursery offers childcare during worship services for children 0-3 years of age. The nursery care provider, as well as volunteers from the congregation, offer a safe and loving environment in our nursery. For parents coming to church with their babies and toddlers, we also have changing tables and a ‘cry room’ adjacent to the sanctuary.
Confirmation Classes – Confirmation classes to prepare youth for church membership are held every other year.
