Gathering Caring People

climate action

On April 23, 2016, St Luke’s hosted the Climate Action Forum, a follow-up gathering of people to learn about various issues being addressed in our community regarding climate and environmental issues.  Many speakers updated those who were gathered and challenged people to get more involved.  What was made clear is that there are many serious environmental and climate issues needing to be addressed, and we need to address them now.

One of the outcomes of the event was that there are people who want to act on what we have heard, and St. Luke’s is working on becoming an information center for the community.  We are at the very beginning stage of this work, but we are working on gathering information, not only about problems that need to be addressed, but also innovative solutions that are being attempted. We seek to spur creativity and encourage those who are taking the issues about our environment seriously.

If you are interested in finding out more about how you can be involved in creating new exciting solutions, please call the office with your contact information.  We will be calling for a meeting of interested people in the near future.
